INTERNATIONAL TRADE, HOW TO MAKE AN OFFER (BL2AI001)

Through corporate issues, students must :

1- Learn the role of an export trade assistant
2- Acquire the tools to analyze and select markets
3- Become acquainted with the specificities of EU trade
4- Be able to adapt a company's public relations to an international context

THE INTERNATIONALIZATION OF A COMPANY- SECOND PART.
The students will learn to master the information sources and analytical tools essential to carry out international market studies; thus they must be able to structure the different steps they have to take, to make the export offer and to evaluate its costs in a changing environment. It is also necessary to understand the specificities of intra-community trade through the study of dispensatory measures and the different existing moratoriums.


COMMUNICATION (BL2DR008)

- Understanding the demands for good communication skills in today's fast-paced business environment.
- Honing oral and written skills in the context of business communication.
- Overcoming communication barriers.
- Learning how to write an appropriate and effective internship report.
- Developing teamwork skills.

The course is aimed at presenting written and oral communication methods applied to business environments. The course will address practical aspects of business communication and will cover a range of issues pertaining to external and internal communication: advertising, business letters, interviews, meetings, teamwork and decision making, body language and non-verbal signals, communication barriers.
The course is in English.
Students will be required to write an internship report. They will make intermediate presentations concerning the progress of their work and they will finally defend their report during the final examination.


CORPORATE LAW (BL1DR007)

The relationship between law and the economy is complex. Current events pinpoint the need to have a good knowledge of the legal rules governing a company.
This course is fundamental for business school students, as future entrepreneurs, executives and business leaders must master and understand the legal environment that will govern their activities. First of all, this course's aim is to deal both with the retailer's legal status and the company's goods and activities. Also, French social forms will be described, their operating modes studied and the advantages and drawbacks of each legal form will be indicated.
This course is in line with the TAO concept : Tonicity because it deals with present-day issues which can deeply change a company's life and with it the whole of our economy. Authenticity, because this course, while based on theory, can be adapted to the needs of Bachelor students. Finally, openness, because it is directed towards the International world and in particular were influenced by the European Union.

This course deals with corporate law, grouping together all the legal regulations which apply to companies. Companies are the basic economic units of our society and they operate in a legal environment which needs to be understood.
Firstly, this course aims to introduce those who are undeniably the main players in the business world : individual retailers, whom we will describe as individual businesses. Secondly, we will take a look at corporate structures.

Learning language success is mainly based on three crucial factors: the attitude of the learner (autonomy), the time spent with the language (immersion) and the ability to notice what is happening in the language (noticing). To reach this goal, we offer blended learning solutions to our students. It involves classroom-based courses (business-related contents), mobile learning (handheld device use) and e-learning (online resources).

To introduce the mathematical tools necessary to understand the models used in economics and management.

ENGLISH FOR BM 2 (BL2LV010)

- Consolidation of language skills

After a TOEIC assessment test for streaming, the first semester has a threefold approach: studying 21st century themes in a context of globalization (work in the future, e-commerce, innovation and new technologies, communication); developing oral and written skills; revision and testing of grammar and essential vocabulary. The second semester continues along similar lines and covers trading areas and 21st century tourism as major themes. In addition, there is a written Cultural Project (with an oral presentation) comparing two countries as well as a cultural and contextual approach to studying abroad during the next academic year. Running throughout is the "Fil Rouge", a short and succinct weekly oral presntation with a written summary (individual in the first semester, in pairs in the second semester), thus developing both written and oral skills in synthesis as well as in communication.


ACHIEVE A SUCESSFUL INTERNATIONAL STUDENT MOBILITY (BL2AI026)

In this module you will become familiar with the specificities of a long-term stay abroad. You will learn how to integrate the intercultural and international dimension to your own personal development. Based on your own representation, you will discover stereotypes and prejudices, you will learn how to start up an individual communication and relationship process towards foreigners in order to increase your knowledge and develop the compulsory skills to make a success of your university career. You will identify your motivations, get to know the cultural specificities of various countries and develop a learning autonomy essential to successfully attend classes and work in international teams.

Some students attending the Bachelor program intend to pursue an international career. Their aim is to attend a third-year program in a partner university in order to obtain a joint degree. They are brought to spend a whole year within a foreign university. With this module students become familiar with their future academic environment, they increase their knowledge in their foreign country's student life and anticipate the various stages of their stay such as the preparation of their trip as well as their return home. They learn, through real-life situations, how to understand and assess the cultural differences that will influence their daily life. This module comes in addition to the practical preparation set up by the international relations' department and the preparation of everyday life in the foreign country provided by the language classes.


PORTFOLIO OF COMPETENCES (BL2DP017)

This course must enable students to understand the importance of the concept of competence on the employment market and to acquire a portfolio of competence approach. This portfolio is a structured basis of information that defines precisely the competencies acquired throughout internships and various working experiences.
The immediate goal is to find good tools to find a job, which is to say "rsum", "cover letter", blog. as well as to promote skills during the internship or job research.


INTERNATIONAL ECONOMICS AND GEOPOLITICS (BL2EC008)

The aims of this lecture are:
- To understand the theories of international economics.
- To know the major international agencies.
- To understand the processes of regionalization.
- To address issues relating to geopolitics.
- To understand the issues related to the exploitation of natural resources.

This course is based on theories of international economics and the facts of the news to provide listeners with the tools needed to interpret international environment. This course builds on the current economic and political and uses of historical and recent facts for understanding the current geopolitics. This course involves students and must allow them to question the current problems of our societies.

Three parts are proposed:
The first part reconsiders the theories that were based international economic relations. It provides concepts and tools to understand the logic of current economic relations.
The second part presents the state of international relations and economic integration that has developed in the twentieth century with the main international bodies and the concept of governance. This part presents also regionalization that occurs at the level of continents such as currency or trade unions.
The last part deals with the concept of geopolitics by studying international issues and conflicts linked to exploitation of natural resources for example.


INTRODUCTION TO TRADE NEGOTIATION (BL2MA014)

At the end of this module student should be able to :

You will be introduced to basic trade talk methods and techniques within the framework of a company's general policy. This course is intended for students wishing to start a career in trade or management. Its objective if to complete the teachings of Sales Prospecting for students to quickly become operational in trade talks.

ACCOUNTANCY AND TAXATION (BL2CP007)

-To structure knowledge with a view to general training in management.
-To develop qualities of analysis and rigour in processing information.
-To raise students' awareness of the issue of financial information and of the necessity to understand the tax environment of the company.

This module aims to broaden the knowledge-base covered in L1 in the area of financial accounting, and focuses on :
Analysis and recording of the firm's current transactions according to IAS/IFRS.
Introduction to corporate taxation.

At the end of this course, the students should be able to interpret and register the economic transactions of the company. They should also be fully conversant with the accountancy function as well as with current regulations of the IAS/IFRS.


MARKETING : HOW TO PROSPECT A MARKET (BL2MA010)

1. Use sales and marketing tools related to prospecting.
2. Learn to work within a sales team.
3. Gain field experience and learn to respond to prospects' expectations.
4. Learn to become autonomous and creative.

This module enables students to gain an understanding of the roles of sales prospecting within the overall strategy of the firm. The missions of a sales representative are introduced and the role of sales actions planning is explained. The prospecting logics and process are presented and students learn to design prospecting tools. They gain a practical understanding of the prospecting process and the use of prospecting tools through 2 sessions of field telephone prospecting. A partner company provides the opportunity for students to interact with real life prospect accounts and learn to present the results of prospecting to sales development management.


FRENCH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE (BL1LV033)

This module is designed for foreign students who want to learn and/or improve their skills in French.

The objectives are:

To understand simple information in French (reading and listening skills)
